James graduated from the University of California San Diego with a B.A. in Economics. He co-founded East Village Tax because he wanted to guide his clients through the maze of tax forms they had to navigate each year. James gains satisfaction in finding solutions for his clients and takes a holistic approach in helping individuals and businesses.
James chose this career path because he likes helping people and it allows him the flexibility to stay involved in the causes that are important to him. He is involved in the Boys & Girls Clubs of South County, the East Village Association, as well as coaching. Since 2010 he has been involved in the annual Dick Dickerson golf tournament as well as the annual “It Just Takes One” campaign. He is also a board member and serves as the Vice Chair for the MMOD (Membership, Marketing, Outreach Development) committee of the East Village Association.
One of James’ passions include coaching volleyball. He coached for nine years at Otay Ranch High School, during which time they became 2-time CIF Division One Champions. When time permits, you can still find James patrolling sidelines around San Diego county.
